The FAQ

Do you Travel?

We are based out of Roanoke, VA but we do travel as needed for sessions. If asked to travel there is a $100 travel fee for anything more then 2 hours outside of our area. Should we be asked to travel out of state there will be additional fees to help cover lodging, gas or plane tickets as needed depending on the travel time and length to get to locations. If we do travel out of state please note that we will also look for additional bookings while in the area to see about booking other sessions that could be used at same location or in the same area.

How many photos do we get?

Clients now will get all the best edited images in your own gallery that will be sent to your email on file with instructions on how to keep, save your images.

Do you retouch photos?

As far as retouching photos, we add minimal editing like smoothing body areas like: legs, breast, arms, and butt areas; removing blemishes or age spots and or any cuts or bruises. We believe that showcasing ladies as they are shows the best qualities of our clients body's and best assets so we don't like to fully change the appearance of our clients so they can still see how beautiful they are inside and out.

How do we book you?

You can reach out to us by filling out the form in our contact area to talk more about booking a session in our contact section or you can click any of our link buttons of book a session where it will take you to our booking site and book your session there.

You can also join our VIP Group on Facebook (Inkd Boudoir VA) and message us by there as well.

How far out do you book?

We can book at any time as needed. Clients just need to let us know dates that they are looking at and we can then make sure about booking for that date or help with dates that we are available.

Since we do not have an actual studio at this time we are using local studios in the Roanoke or Lynchburg areas that we would rent prior to your booking.

What should we wear?

When it comes to what to wear we are here the whole process to help you pick out the perfect outfits that meets your needs and comfort level. We can help on suggestions for those who want more subtle look to those who want more bold sexier look too. We want our clients to feel at ease during their sessions and never overstep or push without the clients permission when it comes to what they want to wear.

What if I want to do implied or fully go nude for my session? We can accomadate all our clients and if you chose to want to come in your birthday suit then you defiantly can do that for your photos and we have no problem with what our clients like to do for their sessions.

How long have you been doing this?

We have been photographing since 2017 but decided to make the leap over to boudoir in 2019. We have background in modeling and posing so we can help our clients look amazing in any position so they leave their session feeling amazing and had fun time.

How do we get our photos?

Each client gets a gallery link that is sent to clients email. There you will see all the best edited images from your session. Clients will get instructions on how to download them and save them.

Clients will also get a password protection code only for their eyes so that no other clients can access their albums without the code.

Whats your turn around time?

Our normal turn around time varies depending on seasons and how busy we may be with other sessions. So pleas note these times can possible change at later times.

During our slow seasons our turn around times are 3 to 4 weeks and during buys season our turn around time is 5 to 6 weeks. Clients can purchase our rush fee at time of booking or add on at a later date and time. Rush fees will get your gallery images done and back sooner at 5 to 6 business days and pricing varies depending on packages. Weekend are not included in these days.

Can you help us with planning?

Yes. We help every step of the way from the first meeting, to helping picking out outfits and helping with props that can enhance your experience with your sessions too. We also encourage our clients to bring along their own props to add like personal items to add to their sessions too. We always encourage our clients to reach out before if they have any questions or concerns before their sessions.

We don't currently have a client closest but are working on building one soon for clients to use. We can recommend sites and local stores that clients can go to purchase their outfits for the sessions.

What should we do to get ready for our Boudoir session?

1. Picking out those perfect outfits.
Choosing the right outfits will help you build the confidence you crave during your boudoir portrait session. I not only will offer help along the way but there are plenty of options to find places to shop and how to piece things you already own together for the perfect Boudoir Session.

2. Hydrate
Moisturize everything daily for at least 2 weeks. And drink plenty of water every day. THIS is the first time for many ladies that you will have so much of YOU photographed. Staying hydrated will help you look and feel your best.

3. Hands and Feet are EVERYTHING
Hands and feet play an important role in your Boudoir Portraits. Take time to ensure they look their best. You won't regret getting a mani pedi the week of your session. You will be photographed with your hand in your hair and your hands on your body. Your feet will be in photographs bare and with your heels. Taking care of your hands and your feet will give you the confidence to create all the boudoir poses you dream of.

4. Hair Removal
I recommend shaving and waxing a few days prior. You want to allow your body to heal and any redness to go away before your session. Hairy areas can be distracting, and you know your body hair best. Pay attention to limbs, face, neck and bikini regions.

5. Eat before your session
Not eating will NOT make you look or feel thinner for your portrait session. Don't be hangry Sister. You are going to be living your best life on shoot day!

6. Pack your car the night before
Far too often, ladies are sad because they forgot this or that. My best tip, is to make a list and pack your car the night before. It not only helps you to ensure you have everything you want or need. But it also helps you to make a smooth getaway. Many of our ladies are sneaking out to create something amazing for husbands and boyfriends and partners, don't let them see you leave with a suit case and spend the day wondering if you are coming back.

Can I bring a friend/spouse with me to my sessions?

We always encourage our clients and welcome others to come with you to your sessions as we know your friends or spouse can be bigger hype person for you and know how to help you out. We do ask though that anyone that comes with is not allowed to photograph or video the sessions without permission from us and the client. We also ask that they maintain our space while we are doing your photos so that they don't hinder our process and to be mindful of small conversations so that we don't run over your time with us.

We also ask that those who come with you maintain a good standing while with us and that they are to maintain a good atmosphere. If said person starts to get in our way, makes client or photographer uncomfortable or hinders in anyway of the session process that they will be asked to leave the location and remain else where till the session is done.
